My Favorite Five Wellness Routines:
1️⃣ Morning Rituals: First and foremost: I love a good wellness habit stack in the morning! A habit stack refers to layering multiple healthy habits together in a sequence or at once, creating a streamlined routine that promotes overall well-being. Here are a few examples you might habit stack your morning:
🌿Hydration + Supplements: I like to start my day with warm lemon water& pinch of himalayan sea salt for natural electrolytes - not only does this rehydrate you after sleep but it also gives you a boost of vitamin C and wakes digestion. Then, I take my essential supplements like GLP-1 Probiotic and Athletic Greens to support gut health, immunity, and overall wellness.
🌿 5 Minutes of Journaling: I like to jot down what I am grateful for, affirmations, and a quick intention for the day to cultivate a positive mindset.
🌿 Red Light Therapy: I sit in front of my PlatinumLED Red Light panel for a 10-minute meditation session which boosts my skin health and cellular recovery but also gives me mental clarity and a sense of calm.
🌿 10 Minute Meditation: Since early December, one of current private clients and I have committed to start our day with meditation and/or breath work and it has allowed us both to feel more centered, grounded and even more patient with life stressors throughout the day! I love using the Deepak Chopra App, they renamed it, “Presence” and she loves using the “Insight Timer” app. Having an accountability partner is a great motivating factor to help us both achieve our daily goal.
2️⃣ Daily Movement: Incorporate yoga or gentle stretching to improve flexibility, reduce stress, and center your mind. Movement can be as simple as taking the dog for a walk around the block to dancing in the kitchen with your kids. All movement counts and it’s something I prioritize for my health which helps me reduce stress and boosts endorphins, my happy hormones! Thanks to my husband who does morning school drop-off, I am able to commit to my morning workout whether it be yoga, walking, lifting weights at the gym, taking a pilates reformer class or heading to my favorite fitness studio, Whitney Hoover’s Body Refinery which is incredibly hard and fun!
3️⃣ Gut Health: My gut health is always part of my daily routine, it’s a non-negotiable because it’s the cornerstone of overall wellness, the gut microbiome plays a pivotal role in many critical functions in the body. I prioritize gut health through nourishing whole foods, prebiotic-rich foods (garlic, onion, inulin, artichokes, apples, etc..) and probiotic-rich foods (kimchi, miso, sauerkraut, pickled veggies, tempeh, etc..). I also practice mindful eating - eating slow and chewing my food until it’s liquid which is important for digestion. I’m also a big believer in cycling probiotics - rotating between different strains and types of probiotics because it helps maintain a diverse and balanced gut microbiome. My current favorite probiotic rotation is JUST Thrive Spore-Based + Pendulum GLP-1 + Cymbiotika Probiotics. I cycle these every few weeks or so.
4️⃣ Mindful Nourishment: Is a powerful wellness routine because it brings intention and awareness to how and what you feed your body, creating a holistic connection between your mind, body, and soul. I focus on the 80/20 lifestyle and aim to eat Whole Foods (without a food label) and of course seasonal, local and organic whenever possible. Mindful nourishment isn’t just about what you eat—it’s about how you eat and the intention you bring to fueling your body. By prioritizing this routine, I know that I am creating a strong foundation for physical and emotional health.
5️⃣ Self-Care Sundays: I love to dedicate time to a face mask, a hot yoga class, sound bath, or infrared sauna to recharge my soul. It goes without saying that Sundays are my most nourishing part of the week - time to slow down, be fully present with my family, fill my own cup up too, meal prep for the week, get to bed early and just a chance to feel grounded and ready to take on the week!
